Hayward AQR940 Salt Generator with TurboCell TCell 940 for 40k gallons.
Hello. Having a heck of a time with this thing. Last year in July 2021 we had lighting strike about 150 feet behind our house that took out a few things. Power supply for Dolphin and Salt water Generator. The AQR wasnt showing anything on the display. I replaced the main board and it came right back up and worked great until October 2021. 3 months later.
It started lighting the Check Salt and Inspect Cell lights and using the reset button would not reset it like the normal 500 hour thing. Display would show salt at like 900, then sometimes 1200 or 1900. Im trying to figure out how do I tell if its something with the salt cell itself now or the board again?

Tried the recalibration. Looked inside salt cell and dont see anything visibly wrong. Resetting make same two lights come on.
When I measure the #2 and #1 pins on the salt cell plug by disconnecting, setting to 100%, placing switch in auto and waiting for click I get 32 volts. Then after about 10 seconds I get another click sound and the voltage goes to 0. If I repeat this the poloarity reverses.
This entire unit is expensive. Is it possible the Cell is damaged and the board is ok? Or the board is bad even though I just put it in?
Anyone have any ideas on what else I can do to troubleshoot and only buy what I need???
