A wind storm pulled off my winter cover, and also pulled off 2 of the top ledges/rail from my pool. I live in Chicago, and we are about 2 months away from pool season. I am waiting for replacement parts, but will take over 4 weeks to arrive. In the meantime, can I start and open the pool, with the 2 ledges/rails missing? The pool is now exposed to the elements, and would hate to see if filling up with algae and dirt for the next 2 months.
Does the ledge/rail have an impact on the condition of the pool and running a filter?
