What is causing DE powder to be deposited in the pool? Is it the filter or grids or is there something else causing the issue? I have cleaned the filter grids and put a new tank gasket in and added the 5 lbs of DE in a slurry. Now after running for a couple days I am noticing some DE in the bottom of the pool. Looking for help or guidance on how to resolve this issue.

The most likely cause is a torn filter grid but it could also be the manifold. You'd have to open up the filter and inspect the filter assembly.

The Sta-Rite filter is S8D110 53 square foot DE filter.
