Is there any difference in quality because there is a BIG difference in the price? Which part is more reliable in preventing leaks over the lifespan of the pump and motor assy.?

Dan, the Alladin seals are commonly used in the swimming pool industry and are at the minimum fairly comparable to the OEM Sta-Rite shaft seal. The lifespan of these seals ultimately depends on the installation and the maintenance of the pump and swimming pool.
