Aqua rite display shows low salt, and doesn't seem to be producing chlorine, however when I have water tested it comes back hi at 4800 ppm. I've tried to re calibrate to no avail.

Clifford, most often this is associated with the cell failing or not communicating properly with the mainboard. We advise having your cell tested at a local retailer if it is a Hayward model as some retailers will test those cells for free. Pinch a Penny or Leslies pools are two common retailers.
