I just bought the Pure Pro XL pump. Is the pump strainer housing supposed to be loose? It seems as if it was not tighten all the way. Is that normal?

It is normal for the pump strainers on the above-ground pool pumps to be slightly loose. However, if it starts leaking, contact our customer service department.
