Hi, I have to replace my pool pump Jandy fhpm.75, Right know the self-priming is not working, I have to turn it on by hand, my swimming pool is already 10 years so the pump as well. Let me tell you about my poo:

  1. It is 13,000 gallons
  2. the size of the pipes are 2.5"
  3. Has a Jandy filter CV340
  4. Has a Jandy pool gas heater LRZ
  5. I believe the feet ahead is 47'
  6. It is 2 lines :  1 line coming from skimmer and 1 line coming from the main drain
  7. it is 2 lines to return the water to the pool: 1 is for the returns and 1 for my pressure pool cleaner polaris 360

usually I have turn the valve to closed a bit the returns to have more pressure to my cleaner.   My question is, with this information What is the right Pool pump? If I replace just the motor, Can I put 1 hp or bigger motor in the 0.75hp body?   thank you.

We'd be glad to assist you. You may want to consider switching to a variable speed pump. They are the most energy-efficient option available. Most power companies offer rebates if you switch to a variable speed model. Something like the Waterway Power Defender model PD-VSC165 would be ideal for your pool.
