Hi, I'm not sure what pump I have. It's leaking through the plastic or fiberglass housing. It looks like there's either a hairline crack or some small pinholes that have developed. The motor is described as follows (I don't know how to attach a photo): USQ1102, Type B, Model C48K2PA105CT Ser 33109CH, HP: 1, PH: 1, Code:K, RPM 3450, FR: 48Y, SF: 1.25 Type: UAC A.O. Smith Corp.

Would I be able to get the part, or should I replace the whole assembly? Also, I'm not sure what pump I would need. We purchased the home, and this assembly was already in place.

You can not go wrong by choosing to save money by installing a variable speed pump. As long as you currently have 220v. The motor you have is both 110v & 220v capable. The variable speed pumps are 220v. You can purchase a medium head VS pump like the Superflo by Pentair or the Tri Star VS by Hayward (originally a Pentair design so it will last) for under $1,000 and once it’s set up, your pool will look better because the slower the water passes through the filter, the better it will filter the water & the pump will pay for itself in energy savings well before it needs to be replaced as long as you cover it from the sun & rain. Plus you won’t even hear it running on low speed so the silence is another benefit.
