Looking to replace Century B128 1.0 HP motor with a variable speed drive. What would you recommend? Also will I need to change the impeller? Pump is a Jandy PHPU1.0

The B128 motor is actually 1.4 total horsepower, so you may not gain much (if anything) by changing the impeller.  The Variable Speed Motor - ECM16CU would be a great replacement option and also save you quite a bit on your electric bill when it is set up properly.

Your old motor could operate on 115 volts but note that the variable-speed motors operate on 220 volts only and need an adapter to interface with an automation system if you have one.

Don't forget to order a new motor shaft seal and a seal plate gasket for your Jandy PlusHP PHPU Series Pump for a leak-free installation.
