pump motor replacement

replacing my Emerson motor.  its a single speed; 1 HP;  looking to go to the dual speed.  its hooked up to a Sta-Rite Model P2RA5E.   Am i ok to replace with your: 

B2982T 

What else do you recommend?

Yes you could go with the B2982T Digital Dual Speed Motor another option is to go with a 1.65 HP Variable Speed Motor the dual speed just gives you the option of high and low speeds where the variable speed gives you a full range of speeds from .5 HP to 1.65 HP. If you went with the variable speed then you would need to upgrade your impeller to a 1.5 HP Duraglas Impeller On the variable speed motor you have the ability to ramp up to 1.65 HP for vacuuming or running spa jets or water features, but for the vast majority of the time you will be dialed down to a very low HP for general pool filtration, this is where you will see your energy savings, typically you will save 50% on operational costs over a single speed pump.
