My Reality: I have a rectangular 20x40 pool (4', 9' shallow, deep end) with a Pentair 3HP variable speed pump and a Pentair FNS Plus 60 DE filter (GPM 150).
Theory: Based on what I've read on inyopools, the pool is about 38,000 (say 40k) gallons and I need to a GPM flow of about 80gpm to circulate the water once in an 8 hour day
Question: is my current pool hadrware actually overkill for my pool? If so, are there any issues with that? (BTW: I have no idea the diameter of the PVC pool plumbing)
