I ordered rails for my 18'x33' Atlantis J4000 pool and I got 6" wide rails and my rails are 8 1/8" wide,

The rails you ordered do not go to the Atlantic J4000 model. The steel rails for your pool can be found on the following parts list. The model is called the Concorde but it's the same as the J4000. https://www.inyopools.com/parts_concorde_18_x33_oval_52_wall_steel_top_rail_steel_upright_.aspx
