It's a Century Centurion pump. An electrician checked the load and said it's fine. No noise

When a pump is run dry for a long period of time it can generate heat from the motor shaft seal spinning with no water flow to cool it, and you might have damage to the seal plate and impeller as well. We would recommend opening it up and inspecting it before purchasing any parts so you are certain you have everything you need.
