Just installed 2 new pumps. Polaris PB4-60 booster and Century pool pump. Both 3/4 HP.Amps on the label SF6.6/13.2 and SF6.4/12.8. I have a timer box that has the circuit breaker rated at 20 amps. This breaker is new also. The breaker trips immediately. Grounds are connected in motor as well as bonding grounds. I work on some electrical stuff at work so im kinda stumped.I disconnected the wires at the pump an circuit did not trip ruling out a short.I either got a bad pump out of the box or my breaker may need to be a 25 amp. What is your opinion.
