Hello,

We are currently "remodeling" our 20+ year old semi-above ground pool and upon removing the liner, uncovered an approx. 6'-8' section of wall that was severely rusted around the middle.  We've spent months acquiring the the top rails and caps we needed as the manufacturer of this pool (Home & Roam) is no longer in business.  With much help from our local pool supply store, we acquired all the necessary parts needed to makeover our dated pool (rails, caps, liner, coping strips, cove strips, bottom floor pad, wall pad), however, seeing the condition of this end wall has brought about some concern.  Although the rust is widespread along that end wall, there were only a few small pinholes where the rust has come through.  I have since scrubbed the wall with CLR, sprayed the wall with an aerosol flex seal spray, applied a coat of rustoleum and duct taped two 3x4 sections of sheet metal to the areas where the pinholes are located.  The pool was built about 2 1/2' underground which we feel may be our only saving grace with getting a few more years out of this pool.   I'm hoping that the pictures included can give you a better idea of what we're working with and hopefully supply you with enough evidence to provide your professional opinion as to our best course of action.   Really hoping to hear back from you.
