I have 10,000 gallon above ground pool! Over the last few years it has not gotten enough use because its to cold! We live near Portland Oregon so it's not always hot. We just want to extend the season and enjoy it more. We do not have gas and really don't have an area for a big propane tank so our options are limited! What would you recommend for someone like me? Electric heater? Heat pump? I'm willing to spend some money but don't want a 200 a month bill for heating either. It doesn't have to be super hot water but a good comfortable warm pool is what we're after! Thank you for any info or help you can give us!

Good morning. This seems like a textbook situation for using a heat pump. Click here for an article that we put together that may give you a little more insight and then please click here to look at your selections. At 10k gallons of pool water, I would likely recommend something around 90-110k btu's.
