I'm getting ready to close, and salt reading is a little low. Water is otherwise balanced. How important is it to raise the salt before closing?

Hello Mlcallen - Since the salt schlorine generator will not be running it does not matter if the salt level is at the correct level. You can add the salt in the spring when it's time to open the pool.

Check out our guide on winterizing an inground pool or winterizing an above ground pool.

My vinyl pool is 16ft by 32ft with 4ft by 8ft stairs at one end.  How low should I lower the water to avoid potentially damaging the stairs.

Thanks
