Pool circulation

I have a 17k gallon pool with a pentair intelliflo pump.  I run it for 4 hours in the morning at 1900 rpm and for 4 hours in the evening at 3200 rpm.  Not sure what the gallons per hour are at those rpm's.  Pool is crystal clear with no problems but I'm wondering if I can lower the rpm's in the evening and still turn over enough water while saving some energy.

We are unable to tell you the absolute minimum run time and RPM's. My suggestion would be to lower the RPM's incrementally and test the water chemistry after a couple of days. It's ok as long as the water stays balanced and clear.

The other option is to add a flow meter to the system in order to determine the GPM at each speed. Then you can figure out the minimum required to turn the water over once a day.
