Please help. High Ph and Alkalinity!

I have a new 3 month old pool

Roughly 20k gallons, In-ground Pebbletec

Jandy ePump VS, Jandy cartridge filter, Aquapure SWG, Nature2 Mineral, ColorQ Pro 7 test kit.

Run pump 24hrs/day at 1250, 4hrs/day at 2250 (waterfall), manually turn up for cleaner

Settled the SWG to 15% which gives me a constant 2ppm. Pool is super clean. Electricity usage is not bad at all.

I usually check chemicals on Friday after work. I almost always have to add an entire gallon of muriatic acid because my alkalinity and pH are both either high 8 or the test kit just says: HIGH.

I thought it was from leaching of the pebbletec, but I would think it should have settled down by now. I was reading that SWGs create high pH naturally through the process and pH will always be a battle?

Is this normal?

Is it because I run the SWG 24/7?

Will I have to add a gallon of muriatic acid every week for the rest of my life?

Any advice is appreciated!

Thanks!

It is normal for pH to run high with salt water pools. So adding muriatic often is going to be routine.

The waterfall running 4 hours every day may add to the increased pH. This is due to aeration. Try cutting that back and see if the amount of required acid decreases.
