I purchased a Pentair Intellichor Salt system from you folks a while ago and just getting around to installing. I saw in notes / video that was recommended to install after the filter. A couple questions: Installing the unit between pump and filter on my system would be much easier then after the filter. Is that OK to do? There is no heater. Also I noted the Pentair install manual recommends installing vertically. But your video shows in-line. That OK to do as well? Thanks. Your video and notes are very well done.

You definitely want to install the cell after the filter for two reasons. First, the water should be filtered before it passes through the cell. The plates will begin to scale and small debris would cling to them and create more issues. Second, the highly concentrated chlorine coming out of the cell could damage the filter.
The salt cell can be mounted vertically or horizontally.
