We will be installing a 20feet 48inches above ground pool in a couple of months. All the research I have done so far tells me that the pump that comes with the pool is not strong enough to do justice. My question is what kind of pump should I get and how many hp? The pool is a Bestway. Thank you.

We typically recommend a 1HP pump for a 20' pool. Something like the Waterway model PH1100-6. That is a 1HP 115V pump with a standard 3-prong plug. Click Here to View More Details on the Waterway Hi-Flo II

Thank you. The Waterway model PH1100-6 is that all I need or are there other parts that are needed.

You may need adapters for the intake and discharge ports. We'd recommend part number 4564.

Good evening. I have decided to purchase a 1.5 HP pureline pump. It just came in today. I am so excited. What type of adapters for the intake and discharge ports do you recommend.

If you are using flex hose, we recommend part number PL0020. You would need a quantity of two. Click Here to View Part Number PL0020
