Hello Ive followed your steps and heres where I'm at. 240volts at 2hp pump motor but no sound/ heat nothing. Split motor from pump expecting jam. Impeller initially wouldn't turn, but while removing impeller, motor broke free. Thought it was bearings but pretty sure dust welded armature inside after shutdown because motor turns free and dont sound bad when turned by hand like bad bearings would. Now after re wired for bench test, nothing. No sound, no hum, no heat. Is motor shorted inside and needs replaced or should I take it apart and light sand whatever was welded,  coat with lube and try again? Or save me that trouble and buy new motor?

My guess is that it is bad phase windings. We have a "how to" guide to test for that but ultimately, the motor would need to be replaced.

If it were me, I'd buy a new motor and get the pool up and running. You could then continue to tinker with the old one. If you can get it to work, you'll have a backup motor.
