I am replacing a motor on my Sta-rite dura glas II pool pump .  I had motor model HSQ125 on it and I'm trying to replace it with a USQ1072.  I installed at 230 volts which i'm pretty sure is correct based on the way the HSQ125 was wired.  Initially the pump seemed to work fine with the new motor, but then the pump shut off, but came back on in a few minutes.  It seems the pump is over heating, very hot to the touch.  I'm trying to determine if maybe it should be wired at 115 volts or is this the way the motor would act if it under sized.  The USQ1072 is listed as a replacement motor for the Sta-rite dura glas II pump.  Do you have any thoughts?
