I ordred new pool motor - AO Smith 1.5 HP B2842 and replaced my original 1 HP motor. After starting the pump motor is making screeching sound. I reused impeller, diffuser and other parts from original assembly.

I would recommend double-checking the installation of the shaft seal and impeller. You can also bench test the motor with the impeller removed. If the screeching goes away then most likely it is a shaft seal or impeller installation mistake. Actually very common.
