Heat pump suggestions

Hi,

i have a 18x46 In ground pool with 10ft of the 46’ being a sun ledge. The shallow end is 12ft long. Im located in Michigan and looking for recommendations on a heat pump that will do the job yet offers a great warranty. Can you suggest a size and a manufacture? Can you also explain how the warranty works? I was told by a local pool company that if I buy a heater online it voids the warranty?

Hello Ryan - Based on your pool size and location, we recommend the Hayward heat pump model HP21404T. This is a 140,000 btu model. 

This unit has a standard warranty of 2 years parts and 1 year on labor (5yrs compressor, 10 years titanium tubes). If the unit is installed by a professional, the warranty is 5 years on parts and 2 years on labor (5yrs compressor, 10 years titanium tubes).
