Hayward Sense and Dispense motor not working

I am having issues with my Hayward Sense and Dispense.  It currently does not seem to be pumping any water in the swimming pool.  I have MODEL # AQLCHEM3120.  There has been a few weird issues leading up to it.  A few weeks ago I had about 4 gallons in the dispenser and it dumped the entire tank into the pool.  Since then it does not seem to operate correctly.  The motor on the tank has a color of rust brown and that is both in the motor and on the top of the tank.  The motor light will turn green trying to turn on and then turn red.  I am thinking the motor is rusted out for some reason, but thought I would ask this Pool group to see what they think.  Can you help me figure out what might be going wrong with the Sense and Dispense?

Hello Orionthelab - We'd be glad to assist you. Due to the presence of rust on the motor and the fact that the unit is not pumping acid out of the tank, it would seem that the motor is no longer functioning. Replacing the unit, which is now obsolete, with an AQL-CHEM4-ACID is one possible option. The other option would be to replace the pump motor. If you decide to go that route, send us the model number from the pump motor label.

Do you know if just the motor is available.  I do not need the whole tank.  Also should this be under a warranty?  The sense and dispense is under a year old.

The AQLCHEM3120 should still be under warranty. For warranty coverage, contact Hayward at 908-355-7995.

The pump motor for your Stenner pump is available. The replacement pump motor is part number PM6041D.

Orionthelab - Could you post a few photos of your motor showing the brown color, diagnostic lights, and model #'s as these photos will help future users who stumble upon this post.

Thank You

I do have a photo of this as a matter of fact.  I am guessing the motor does not like the salt pool?  Would love to hear what Hayward support has to say about their product.
