My Grid Locator top does not bottom out when dropping on to the filter inlet line, by 1". My grids are 24". I never noticed this before. Are these the right length grids for this filter? Thanks.

Most of the DE filters go up about 6-ish inches for different sizes of components, so 1" sounds like something may not be sitting quite right. Take a look at the bottom manifold and make sure it is installed correctly - you probably have the correct grids.
