I have a System 3 S8D110 which is obsolete and parts are getting hard to find. Some of the plastic parts have become brittle and break when servicing which is a real pain since they must be hunted down and ordered. I'm thinking it is time to replace it and wanted a suggestion on which would be the best and easiest to fit into the existing piping. I don't know if converting from DE should also be considered. The DE seems to filter well but I know there are some newer options.

Hello Andrew69 - If you want a drop-in replacement, we'd recommend another Sta-Rite S8D110. All of the parts are still available for this model. The parts can be found on the S8D110 schematic page.
