We have a 10,000 gallon rectangular pool. We live in South Florida where the weather is pretty accomodating year round. We do not own the home so we are looking at investing in a relatively low cost alternative to heat the pool. This appear to be an tankless pool heater. What do you think.

We would recommend a heat pump that is rated around 110k btu's. The Raypak and Hayward models are very reliable.

If you are more interested in a strictly electric heater, we'd recommend the Raypak 27kw E3T model. However, this style of heater would require (3) 40 amp breakers and is not energy efficient.
