I have the ECM27CU motor and it has been working flawlessly since I got it installed over a month ago. I am now in the middle of Hurricane Harvey and I need to constantly drain water from my pool. If the pump is running, I have to turn the pump rotary switch to the off position so that I can turn the multiport valve to the drain position. Then I turn the pump switch to the "run" position and hit the "override high" button to force the pump to run on "high" for about 15 minutes. Then I turn the rotary switch back to "off", reposition the multiport valve to its normal position and turn the pump switch back to "run" for normal scheduled operation. I just went out to the pump to perform the above process to once again drain the pool. When I press the "over-ride high" button, the digital display says "invalid key move knob to motor run position for override". IT IS IN THE RUN POSITION. I have tried turning off the power for several minutes in case the digital interface needed to be reset, but it still does this. Any ideas?? Thanks

I am posting a response to my own message because I found the problem. It dawned on me after writing my post that every time I flip open the lid on the control panel to switch the pump to "off" it has been during a torrential rain and water might be getting into the control unit. I managed, with the help of my son holding a large patio umbrella over me, to remove the control interface and took it inside the house to inspect it. Sure enough there were about 4 drops of water around the rotary switch. I dried everything off with a towel and re-assembled everything carefully. Re-installed and it is once again working flawlessly. I will be mounting the interface inside my cabana and running a longer wire to the pump to prevent any harm to the interface in the future. I hope I saved someone a problem with my post. All in all, I love this pump motor.
