I want to convert to a salt chlorine generator. Do I need to sacrificial anodes and if so, can I just use one in the skimmer basket ? Or should I also have one on the ladder and or pool light. My pool is 20x40. Thank you.

Hello NCRK123 - We would recommend adding a sacrificial anode if you have metal components in a salt pool. The one for the basket is a good entry level anode. However, the best option is the type that is plumbed in line and is connected to the bonding wire. If you go with the inline style, we recommend model 104C-1 for 1.5" plumbing or 104C-2 for 2" plumbing.
