What would be the differnce between acid washing and clorine washing my pool walls? Why would I want to use one over the other?

The choice between the two depends on the stain and the surface of your pool.
Acid washing is usually reserved for plaster pools. The acid strips a thin layer of plaster from the surface. This works great for pools with metal stains.
A chlorine wash can be used on most surfaces and will treat tough algae stains.
