 Good morning Inyo,

It's been a long and arduous road getting my pool back on line and in work order but I'm almost there now. After replacing the DE filter, the pool pump, and repairing an air leak in my return and repalcing the skimmer weir the pool is back in work order.

I have been brushing and scrubing to clean up everything and it is much better than it was. I do have a few very stubern spots that I can't seem to get out.I'm not sure if they are black algea or copper stains. Can anyone assist me in identifing what it is? I've added a few pictures to show you what I'm dealing with.

Thanks very much.

You can easily determine if it's a algae or metal stain. Wearing gloves, rub a chlorine tablet on the spots. If it lightens up, it is an algae stain. You can also try placing a vitamin C tablet on the stain. If it lightens up, it's metal.
