My pool equipment was not installed with a backwash system. I have a Sta-rite vertical grid DE filter system model S8D110. I'm tired of unscrewing all those clamps when it comes time to clean the filter. After replacing main filter pump and pool sweeper pump myself, I think I can tackle installing a backwash valve myself.
Is there a specific valve I need for my system? I'd like to minimize the amount of re-plumbing of my current set-up.
