I have a 30' 54" deep above ground pool with a Happy Bottom pad and wall pad. It has a salt system, Knoxville TN location, and shady with only 2-3 hours of sunlight. Would like to look at a heater. I do have a solar blanket but haven't used it in years. What would you recommend for heating? I would consider providing propane but I am open to all suggestions. If a heat pump is recommended, how much power is needed? Would the 120V pump circuit be enough?

Hi Gloveboxguy,
I would suggest a Propane heater for your pool as a Heat Pump does best when it gets sun, also a heat pump will require 240V electrical. For a pool your size I like this Raypak 336,000 BTU Propane Heater this would raise your temperature quite nicely.
