My Anthony Pool has 2 skimmers and I had 1 replaced. My old skim,m,er had 1 pipe going out of skimmer to pump. The new skimmer is a Hayward 1072 or 1071 and it has 2 pipes at bottom of skimmer. If I look up hayward skimm,ers, it says the extra pipe is for equalizing; but I cannot see that the pipe is connected to anything. I have no intake or pipe at the inside of the concrete deck that could hook to the extra pipe. Is this extra pipe just capped off somehow?

Yes, just cap off the other port if you do not have anything to hook it up to.
